This morning we woke to overnight rain and misty, drizzly rain falling as Wayne, Peter and Phil turned up ready to work ... outside! Deputy trotted off to work around 7.20am, Chief had already left and at this time, Peter, Phil and Wayne had all ended the day and long gone. I guess doing storm water in the rain, while a little appropriate, is not much fun!
Wayne did tell us that it would be a full day on Friday, plasterers, tilers, Bob the Carpenter and I guess the boys. So we all turned up after our days at work and school to ...
Yep, the bench tops had been put in. A very nice surprise indeed! Nice work, sink included with all the extras that come with a sink, covers, chopping boards, very nice indeed.
The kids are already wondering when we'll get stools so they can sit at the breakfast bar and have their cereal. It is coming up so very nice. We're grateful that Wayne talked us into considering a new kitchen as part of the project. The whole room is completely different to what it was before, and there is still a bit of work in it yet.
Deputy christened the bench, sick of making the lunches on the table doing his back in.
Will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings. If the plasterers are here, stand back as the plaster is flung!
