Today Peter was here working hard all by himself. He worked really hard all day.
The day started off with him removing all of the slate from the hallway. We are now left with floor boards that seem to be covered in a waterproofing tar. Apparently it should be able to come off and we will be able to polish them.
He also spent a lot of time removing the beams from above where the staircase will be going. It was time consuming work up the ladder.
It looks like the weekend will be really cold inside the house as the only thing between us and the outside are the roof tiles.
Peter also attached some gyprock to the wall beside the staircase.
The builders have worked really hard all week so I hope they can have a really relaxing enjoyable weekend in preparation for another huge week next week.
