They have been busy, again!!

It was another crisp morning, cold really however sunshine allowed for photos of the work done the previous day as promised. According to the weather man, we should have enjoyed the sunshine today as the clouds are rolling in for the next week with the chance of showers across Sydney. That would be right, have a look at the dirt in the daylight!

It was another early morning decision time. This wonderful rock sitting just off the end of the alfresco area however jutting out in the way. After a quick discussion and finding the additional cost wasn't that much in the scheme of the project, death warrant signed for this rock.
Whilst the whole block of land now resembles a cross between a building site and war zone and inside it is cold and dusty, one of the things I love about Wayne and his crew is that they are always planning, always working. This morning the instructions were going left and right about what was to happen after the excavator was finished and what needed measuring and what material needed to be picked up today.

The result for the day is the start of the forming up of the back of the house, holes dug for the piers.

The design for the renovation includes a new entrance to the house and the cement was cut and a hole dug for this work to start down the side of the house.
Peter and Phil also started taking off the boarding from the lounge room, now known as Joel and Marissa's room. There was a halt to this work until the air conditioning hoses are removed off the wall.
And on the way out of the block, the excavator cleared the front lawn so we can open up the driveway in front of the garage when the renovation is completed.
Well I reckon that would be just about enough for the day for most people but no, there is more and this is the sort of work that you like to see.

A TOILET in the en suite. Yes, the en suite is getting fitted out. The plumber is coming tomorrow. The toilet actually has water in it, but I'm banned from touching it until tomorrow evening.
And this photo will make Chief Blogger very happy, all she wanted was this shower head. I must admit it looks pretty good.

Now apparently the rip in the ceiling between the kitchen and dining room wasn't just demolishing for the sake of it. It incorporated putting in supports to hold the roof for when they start upstairs and to start getting the old hot water tank out. I have been told that it will be closed up, and I did suggest that would be a good idea before Chief Blogger returned.

Tomorrow looks like being a big day. The plumber is to be here to do the en suite, the window is coming for the en suite, the electrician is coming to put in a new meter box and wiring, though this means I will probably be out of power tomorrow night and the air conditioning man is coming back to complete the removal of the air con unit. Let alone what Wayne, Brett, Peter and Phil will be doing. Could be massive, might go and have a sleep, getting tired just thinking about it ...
